Psalm Chapter 125 – Chronological

Psalm 125:1-3
1 They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

2 As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity. In verse 1 as we trust in the Lord we will not be moved. In verse 2 the lord is with us forever. In verse 3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous. What a promise.

They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

Do good, O Lord, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the Lord shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.

Respect for a Leader

1 Samuel 31:12-13

12 All the valiant men arose, and went all night, and took the body of Saul and the bodies of his sons from the wall of Bethshan, and came to Jabesh, and burnt them there.

13 And they took their bones, and buried them under a tree at Jabesh, and fasted seven days.

We respect the death of a leader weather good or bad. Leaders are God ordained. For God will appoint and take down leaders. Saul was chosen to be king. His sons respected their dad and went to war with him. All lost their lives. The Valiant men of Israel chose to gather their bodies in the enemies territory and gathered and bury them in the soil of Israel . This will now pave a way for the Next chosen King.

The Hand of God is efficient

1 Samuel 29

10 Wherefore now rise up early in the morning with thy master’s servants that are come with thee: and as soon as ye be up early in the morning, and have light, depart.

11 So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the land of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel.

David was in a difficult position because he was with the Philistines camp as they prepared to have a battle with Israel. He was asked to go back to his lodgings. If he was to fight against Israel he would become a trader to Israel. God gave him a way out. When we are tempted Jesus said he would give us a way out.

Do not speak or do any actions against the Lord’s anointed.

Samuel 26: 9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the Lord‘s anointed, and be guiltless?

What we think and later speak as gossip we speak death not to God’s anointed but to ourselves. This is dangerous. No matter what, we must not speak a curse about leadership or our Pastor. For the very curse spoken will light on us if we speak it. Let us praise God that we have leadership which prays for us and will be a helper and encourage er when we fail or fall. Was David, Abishai, and the host with David not blessed. We are also this day. May we walk in praise and thank fullness ever looking toward Jesus Christ the author and finisher of our Faith. Pray for the Leadership and Pastor for they are called and set apart for the tasks that they perform on our behalf. I personally ask a blessing for them all in Jesus name.

Four states of being

Psalm Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. 1)Bring my soul out of prison. King David lived in old covenant. The Mosaic Covenant He had faith in God and went to Him. He was overwhelmed as we find ourselves at times. He knew where his answer was and in his faith and did not concentrate on the difficulty. 2)That I may praise thy name: David began to praise God. We to have that privilege for God inhabits the Praises of his children. 3) The righteous shall compass me about; We have the Saints and our pastor and the leadership to agree with in prayer. 4) Thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Davids faith was complete in that prayer and so our faith shall be as we declare our Faith in Jesus Name

Bloom where you are planted. Know what your assignment is.
Paul knew where he was and what his assignment was. He was being protected by the Romans. He knew his ultimate assignment was to go to Rome. His life style was a witness to his innocence. He was a living Testimony. How are they over come by our testimony and the blood of the Lamb. Rev 12:11

Acts 25

Now when Festus was come into the province, after three days he ascended from Caesarea to Jerusalem.

Then the high priest and the chief of the Jews informed him against Paul, and besought him,

And desired favour against him, that he would send for him to Jerusalem, laying wait in the way to kill him.

But Festus answered, that Paul should be kept at Caesarea, and that he himself would depart shortly thither.

Let them therefore, said he, which among you are able, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there be any wickedness in him.

And when he had tarried among them more than ten days, he went down unto Caesarea; and the next day sitting on the judgment seat…
